Apparently in response to our Ban Comic Sans from Gmail petition to Google, Trevor Feigleson of Salt Lake City has started a counter petition to Save Comic Sans! Don’t let these misdirected font abusers win, please sign our petition today!

A couple of misdirected French designers are attempting to redeem Comic Sans from infamy by redesigning famous logos using the font. Here is our official response to their project:

“Shame on you for encouraging graphic designers around the world to use their powers for evil. Desecrating perfectly respectable logos by using Comic Sans is outrageous. You should be ashamed of yourselves for redirecting talented designers to use their skills for such a frivolous cause. The time spent on these ridiculous “designs” would be put to better use working toward social justice, world peace, and fighting poverty. Touché, En Garde, and Ban Comic Sans!” – Dave and Holly Combs

…and remember every time you use Comic Sans, a designer loses their wings.

ABOUT THIS PROJECT (From Director Scott Hutcheson)

This will be my 2nd kickstart campaign to get my documentary about Comic Sans off the ground and funded. This time around I have done more strategic planning, already purchased all my equipment and have eliminated the need for a large budget. This time around we will be successful.

With Comic Sans being used represent the champions of the prestigious Copa del Rey, it is more important than ever to educate people on the use.

We have the creators of bancomicsans.com behind us, as well as world famous artist Shepard Fairey and with your help we can convince Vincent Connare to get on board as well…which is helpful since he created the font for Microsoft.

The funds will be used to cover travel expenses for 1 month while we travel to film the biggest designers in the world about Comic Sans.
